So right now, I'm standing in New Delhi, the most polluted city in the world. In the Capital, Delhi, this poisonous smoke is spreading. Year after year, Delhi's winter pollution has been described with a blanket of smog, breath of death. The air around Delhi is becoming poisonous. Fog also increases with the drop in temperature, it's becoming difficult to breathe in the air. Delhi's pollution has not increased in a day, nor will it decrease in a day. My team and I went to the ground and saw what the actual problem was. And what will be the solutions? So in the next 24 hours, my team And I are going to take proper measures, as much as we can, to reduce the pollution of Delhi. The main reason that spoils our air quality is the smoke from our industry. The smoke from stubble burning, the smoke from vehicles, or the smoke from construction sites. So one of the biggest sources of pollution is stubble burning. People say that it's banned, but what is the ground reality? The reason for pollution, which is called Stubble burning is this. We'll know from farmers why they burn it. The combined stubble is cut from top to bottom. The lower part is left. When we mix it, it can't be mixed completely. It becomes a compulsion for us. We have to blow a little bit from the top. When we blow it, it becomes stubble. We burn it and sell the rest. The farmers are not burning the stubble, because The government has set some conditions that they won't get any manure or seeds, and a case will be filed. The government is issuing challans There are companies, cars, firecrackers, factories. Because of them, there is a lot of smoke. Don't spread pollution. Don't spread pollution. Where are we spreading pollution? We don't burn the stubble. We have to burn a couple of bundles. Otherwise, the work won't be done. What about pollution? It's only fire. We have no other option. Without burning it, we won't be able to work. It gives power to the crops. It becomes a buffer for the soil. It makes it more brittle. The stubble helps in making a thick grain. No, there is no saving. There is only loss. After seeing all this, we understood that it's not the farmers' fault. It's their helplessness. There is no guidance. There are no resources. And between all this, the smoke is increasing. So we decided to start from where we can change something. Almost 30% of daily pollution is caused by dust. Dust is the second main reason for air pollution. It's not visible, but it flies in the air. It mixes with air. And it causes diseases like lung infection, throat infection, and many more. No matter how the construction is, demolition, creation, dust particles fly from it and affect the AQI. According to the situation in Delhi right now, I suggest that the construction should be completely halted. So guys, what I have decided that I am going to do in this video, that's a massive step. And if I go alone to do this, then I will definitely not be able to do it. So I have decided that me, Mopi, and my team, we are all going to go to different NGOs and ask for volunteers who can help us in this small step. Okay guys, whenever I need a team and I look for NGOs, the first name that comes to my mind is Vrikshit Foundation. And we have a very old relation. Today I have come again to ask for a helping hand. So I need a team. And that's why I am here. Of course, we are with you. And we would be very happy to contribute with you. We do plantation. We make forests out of dumping yards. Game on? Yes, game on. Yes guys, let's go. Game on, let's go. Let's do it. In the same way, along with Vrikshit, we spoke to two more NGOs. And today, they are also going to help us. Oh my God! Bro here... First, I want to know how many vloggers are here? All of us are vloggers. All of you are vloggers? Bro, am I in the bus of NGOs or in the bus of vloggers? Look, everyone's camera is rolling. So tell me, when we shot the CM video, who all were with us? All of us. Oh wow! Thank you so much. Apart from making vlogs, our work is that Whatever effect we can have on the AQI in Delhi, we make it happen. We try to reduce pollution. If we are not able to do everything, then the people who are watching through this video, they should at least understand what to do and what not to do. So first of all, we have to wear a mask. Because it is also very impactful for our health. Till the time I am speaking, don't tell me to wear a mask. You won't even see it. You guys give your best. We do as much as we can today. So our sprinkler trucks are ready. And they are going to go all over Delhi and sprinkle water. And where they won't be able to reach, Our team is going to reach there. How's the enthusiasm? High Sir. Oh wow! And I am very happy. So all the best. Let's start and let's make sure to create a bigger impact. So I am sitting here with Monu Thakur. And we are busy sprinkling water in Delhi. And as you can see, all the water is going here. Oh man! And I am sitting in one truck. And my team is sitting in another truck. And Mopi is with two trucks on the south side of Delhi. To sprinkle water. So right now, our two trucks are running. If I tell you. And I am about to go in the truck and I am going to ask that Does it really make any difference to the pollution? What we are doing, whether it's right or wrong? Does it really make a difference to the pollution or not? It does. So what happens with these buttons? The front pressure is on. If we press the second one, the right one will turn on. So we're turning off the dust that flies in the air. So if we do this on a very large scale, in which we have run a lot of trucks in Delhi, will it make a lot of difference? Yes, it will. And can it be decreased? Yes. So brother, what you are seeing behind, what I was explaining to you that whatever dust is flying, we are pressing it down. So it works like this. But right now, we are going to spray on the other location. Because this area is already covered. So it's a long day. I hope, it shows some impact. When vehicles run, dust flies. Sprinkling water is also a good way. If that dust gets removed from there, it is even better. So as you can see, there is a plant in the back, and the other half is just soil. So we are running these sprinklers so that the soil gets moisture and it doesn't fly and there is less pollution. It is a state of emergency. And I feel, in actual, this is the right moment that lockdown should be imposed. But you know, life doesn't stop. But I feel, one engine standing in the red light may feel small now, but if lakhs of engines stop at one time, on the red light, so that isn't a small thing. This is something that we can do. So that's it, my team and I have decided that we will go on the red lights and educate people to switch off their engine and save daily from pollution. So guys, right now, I am on the red light with my lovely Dixit Foundation people So we can encourage carpooling to turn off the engine. And we did this not only in Delhi, but also in its neighbouring city, Faridabad, where We collaborated with an NGO and motivated people for the plantation. water sprinkling and motivated people to turn off their engines in all the red lights. So when we know that pollution is increasing, we should not park our cars, but do car pooling. We should use public transport. The government can help us in making public transport better. So guys, I am currently in an electric bus and literally, you can see that this bus is empty. I request you that the government has started electric buses to reduce pollution. This is a very good step. I request the government to make all the buses electric, over diesel buses. And all of you who are watching this video, let's be the generation that fixes the pollution problem. Use only electric buses over diesel buses. And I request all the people who go to offices and travel solo, don't do this. Use electric buses, use metro and use carpool. 5-10 people who have offices in the same place, take one car. If you are taking a car, and if you are not taking a car, I would say take electric buses, take metro. This is the best way to reduce pollution. And let's be the generation that doesn't complain, that will fix the pollution and educate everyone about these things. Look guys, if we want to bring our city back to life, then all the people who are watching this video, share this video with your friends, send this message to everyone that if millions of people take this initiative, only then will we be able to bring our city back to life. I know guys, right now the AQI in Delhi is over 800. But, there is a house in Delhi whose AQI is less than 20. You can't believe it, right? Even I didn't have it. So, these are Peter Singh and Nino Kaur, who have made some modifications in their house... Due to this, their AQI is less than 10. They grow all their vegetables themselves. Every breath they take is absolutely fresh. And whatever they eat it is absolutely healthy. Perhaps we should all take some inspiration from their lives. We don't have any processed food in our house. We make everything at home and eat it fresh. AQI is 500 outside and in your house only 5. How is it even possible? So, they have put a cooler panel at the entrance of the house, on which the water drips for 24 hours and all the air that comes in gets completely cleaned. Now, even if the AQI outside is 1000, 500, 400, as soon as the air enters the house, it gets completely cleaned. It is completely closed, completely covered. There is only one way to bring the air inside the house and there is one way to bring more air inside. Sir, I come by cycle in the morning and when I walk on the road, there is a lot of burning in the eyes. There is a lot of problem in breathing. Now that it is winter, I can't even see far. It is very dark in the morning. So guys, we are taking as many steps as we can, but you can also take some extra steps individually while sitting in your home, with which you can improve the AQI of your house and your room. I am going to tell you about 5 plants that you can grow in your home which will naturally absorb toxins and release oxygen which makes the AQI better. 5 plants are 1. Money plant So guys, this is a money plant. It absorbs harmful pollutants like xylene, which automatically refreshes the room. 2. Aloe vera So guys, this is aloe vera. Everyone thinks it is only used for the skin but no. It filters out carbon dioxide and toxins if you put it in your room. And do you know what is the best thing? If the AQI is bad, spots come automatically on the leaves. 3. Snake plant So guys, this is snake plant. It is really the most low maintenance plant and it reduces AQI the most. I will prefer this over any plant. 4. Peace lily It cleans the air and uplifts. Yes, it is a bit high-maintenance, but it is definitely worth it. And 5. Areca palm. So guys, this is areca palm. It is a natural humidifier. Actually, it is best for large rooms and halls. Out of these 5 plants, bring one home and grow it. You will see that your mental health will improve, your nature will be peaceful and calm and AQI will definitely improve. So, whoever is watching this video, I request you to go to your nearest nursery and bring at least one plant from there. Last year, I planted more than 10,000 trees in a video when I became the CM for a day. So, continuing that, we decided to plant hundreds of trees around the daily so that in the future, it becomes a big tree and provides fresh and clean air to everyone. I request everyone to plant a tree and make it a habit to plant a plant on your birthday, wedding, or any occasion. So guys, those who cannot buy an expensive air purifier, don't worry. I have got you guys covered. I have two solutions for you. If you have an air conditioner at home, you don't have to do anything. You just have to order a HEPA filter. A HEPA certified filter looks like this. You have to keep it on the air conditioner and then switch on the AC in the fan mode. The air that comes out of it will be a purified air. If you don't have an AC at home, we have a solution for that as well. All you have to do is order a HEPA-certified cylinder and place the exhaust on it. Once you place your air purifier will be ready. All the expensive air purifiers that you see the most expensive thing in it is the AQI meter, which tells you the air quality of your. This is the main thing that functions, and you can make it cheaply at home. Once you switch it on practically, the air that comes out of your room will be purified. I'll show you how to do this once. If we see the AQI level.. Our high level is at night only. It makes sense that if you need an air purifier you can install it in your bedroom. Don't go for a walk in the morning or evening. Keep the main doors and windows closed for this time. So, if you think that whatever Abhishek has said so far is useless, then I have a small story for you where Beijing, which was once the most polluted city in the world, has an AQI of 20. Beijing will spend nearly 1 trillion yuan or about 162 billion US dollars to treat air pollution over the next 5 years. So, Beijing took the same steps that we in this video. We promoted public transport, formed green belts, and controlled dust pollution and moved industries out of the city. And there have been a lot more steps that they have taken. And if we can take small steps and definitely reduce this pollution. We've distributed 100s of masks It is certainly the government's job to control pollution, but the responsibility lies with all of us. I know guys, through this video, I couldn't make a major difference on the AQI levels. But yes, through this video, I wanted to show that if I can take some steps alone, if all of us who are watching this video, if we take some steps at home or collectively take some steps, with which we can reduce Delhi's AQI pollution, then it's going to make a very, very, very huge difference. Like, I still remember in 2020, during COVID we used to see clouds. And even after that, we saw clouds for a few years. But for the past few months, when we wake up, we can't play outside because it's too much fog and smoke and smog. It's not always that we can blame the government, but sometimes I think it's time, it's high time that whoever lives in Delhi, lives in Gurgaon, NCR, whoever is watching the videos in India where AQI is affected, we all have to come forward. We will take some minor steps and create a major difference. Now, throughout the entire video you must have been thinking, Why didn't I talk about bursting crackers? We cleaned the dust and sprinkled water. We showed you the reality of stubble burning We have covered all the major causes of daily pollution. Then why not about bursting crackers? Come, let's find out about research on crackers. According to reports, yes, the AQI shoots drastically during that period But throughout the entire year the impact of crackers is negligible compared to the real long-term culprits, which are stubble burning, traffic emission, construction, dust, and industrial pollution. But somehow, we bring the whole conversation on Pollution equals crackers. And that's not the full picture. So, I wanted to address it at the end That blaming crackers alone is easy but solving the larger issue takes real effort from the government, from industries and from all of us as citizens. If we really want to clean our air, bring our AQI down, we need to focus on the big year-round contributors, not just the one-night spikes. And that's why today, we didn't just talk, we acted, we cleaned, we watered, we spread awareness, because real change doesn't happen in one festival or one day. It happens when we take responsibility of every single night.
